Gynecomastia is a condition where males get enlarged breasts. It’s a very common condition, but it can be embarrassing and sometimes painful. There are two types of gynecomastia: primary and secondary. In secondary gynecomastia, the enlargement is due to an underlying cause such as obesity or an endocrine disorder, whereas in primary gynecomastia there is no known cause for the enlargement.
The surgery for male chest enlargement is called mastopexy or ‘male breast reduction’ and it can be done in different ways depending on the severity of the case. The surgery may involve removal of excess skin, fat, and glandular tissue from the chest area to reduce the size of breasts and make them more male-like.
