Newman Furniture Company began in 1948 when E. B. Newman Sr.(Ben) decided to buy a truck(s) and a warehouse and begin a furniture service. In 1948 there was no store you could just walk in to but the truck(s) loaded up furniture at the warehouse every morning and rode from home to home offering different goods.
